{"id":1477,"date":"2021-02-12T13:30:04","date_gmt":"2021-02-12T12:30:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nfqoldc.cluster031.hosting.ovh.net\/?p=1477"},"modified":"2021-10-26T18:04:22","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T16:04:22","slug":"banco-santander-insurance-awarded-in-devops-industry-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nforceservices.es\/en\/banco-santander-insurance-awarded-in-devops-industry-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Banco Santander Insurance: awarded in DevOps Industry Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>DevOps Awards<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devopsindustryawards.com\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DevOps Industry Awards<\/span><\/i><\/a> celebrate companies and individuals who have accomplished significant achievements incorporating and adopting <\/span><strong>Agile methodologies<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in general, and especially <\/span><strong>DevOps<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> practices in the European sphere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These awards have been launched to recognize the tremendous efforts of individuals and teams when undergoing digital transformation projects, whether they are small and bespoke, or large complex initiatives. <\/span><strong><em>The DevOps Industry Awards<\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> jury, composed of IT Managers from several European multinationals, evaluated aspects such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Demonstration of a successful DevOps project utilizing a best practice method\/technique<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Verification of project goals, importance, achievements and successful results<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Evidence of overcoming project challenges\/obstacles<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Detailed discussion around project methodology and justification of resource choices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Proof of commitment to industry best practices and standards<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Best Overall DevOps Project \u2013 Finance Sector<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><strong>Omnichannel Health Insurance project<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that has been awarded is orientated to the commercialization of a new range of health products for individuals and self-employed workers, through the branch office network and all the other commercial channels of <strong>Banco Santander<\/strong>: Supernet, mobile apps and call centers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The development of the project has consisted in the implementation of an <\/span><strong>Integrated multi-platform commercial service<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> model, that allows to start or continue a project of Insurance on any digital platform, such as desktop or mobile.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b><i>This project allows the commercial network of Banco Santander and the user the management of Insurance projects, which are managed centrally and in an agile way, from any service platform and through any support, improving the client experience.<\/i><\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This also allows <\/span><strong>all the commercial channels<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Banco Santander start Insurance projects that clients will also be able to continue <\/span><strong>from their computers and\/or smartphones<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The main objective of this activity is the efficient acquisition of the new clients who have shown interest in these products, with the purpose of giving them a price tag as soon as possible to make them a <\/span><strong>personalized offer<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that suits their needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bancosantander.es\/es\/particulares\/seguros\">Banco Santander Insurance area<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been promoting a methodological change these last years that has been key to win this award, boosting Agile methodologies and new working methods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This <\/span><strong>paradigm shift<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (methodological and architectural) started with the <\/span><strong>Home and Life<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> insurances and afterwards, with the <\/span><strong>Death Insurance<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field. Currently, this change is also being developed from the <\/span><strong>Accident<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Insurance field of Banco Santander.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Nfq, part of the team<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part of our team has been involved in the awarded project, with roles such as <\/span><strong>Scrum Master<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><strong>Product Owner Proxy<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in business interaction, working as translators between business requirements and the day-to-day of the projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have been part of the team that has implemented the <\/span><strong>Agile methodology<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a new architecture, in which servers are located in a private cloud and new frameworks have been chosen (such as <\/span><strong>Angular JS<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or the use of <\/span><strong>APIs<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) to the publication of <\/span><strong>REST<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> services to be consumed from the <\/span>frontend<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b><i>In Nfq we\u2019re proud to be part of the Banco Santander team in the digital transformation that is leading the Insurance area.<\/i><\/b><\/h6>\n<h2><b>DevOps.
